Sustainable Living Potluck
EVERY Monday 6:30 - 10 pm
At the Earth Summit at Rio de Janeiro in 1992, SUSTAINABLE
DEVELOPMENT
was defined as such activities which would stop and revert the
negative impact that humanity has had on planet Earth. American
Society is one of the most UN-sustainable societies on this planet,
since it is living on a borrowed time, feeding on non-renewable fossil
fuels and non-renewable other resources. While Americans are only 4%
of the World population, they consume over 30% of the World resources.
Sustainable Living Potluck is an informal group that meets EVERY
Monday to discuss ways of decreasing our collective and individual
"ECOLOGICAL FOOTPRINT". This "footprint" measures our impact on
Earth ecosystems and our consumption.
Bring a vegan dish, since eating low from a food chain decreases the
size of our ecological footprint and makes US more sustainable. Also,
car pool if you can!
CHILDREN, SPOUSES AND PETS ARE WELCOME!
We have a big wooded back
yard to play in and plenty of babysitters to hire in the neighborhood...
